General InformationAn important element of our Cancer Cachexia Society is its commitment to education. We intend to serve basic and physician scientists, students, clinicians and other healthcare providers. Our educational component is mainly provided through our biennial research conferences. When we are not meeting in person, the latest updates in the field will be disseminated to our society members via our Education Committee, composed of early-staged faculty committed to cachexia research and treatment. This committee will organize educational materials, which currently includes an online seminar series. Other resources on our website will be selected by our Cancer Cachexia Society Board members, such as current literature reviews, workshops, courses, and upcoming conferences relevant to cachexia hosted by other organizations. Our overall goal is to provide the most accurate and up-to-date educational resources so that our members and the greater research community can be as well-informed as possible in the cancer cachexia field.
